Turning and Turning in the widening gyre, the falcon cannot hear the falconer; things fall apart the centre cannot hold, mere anarchy is loosed, and everywhere the ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity….
The Second Coming was written by William Butler Yeats in 1919 right after WW1. We can see how Bill must have felt like the world was ending, and a little divine intervention was needed, but our species has bumbled along for almost another century since without the anticipated arrival.
The words could also ring true for the brewing industry seen from the boardroom of one of the foreign owned multinationals.
As NZ’s Oldest Real Craft Brewery, we’ve seen a few changes over the years, but unlike Bill, we reckon that the future is pretty rosy.
This is our rebirth celebration beer, we hope you enjoy drinking it as much as we’ve enjoyed brewing it, Cheers
